How Install APK and OBB File in PC?

If you’re a fan of mobile games and apps, you might have come across an APK and OBB file. These files are used to install Android apps on your phone or tablet, but what if you want to install them on your PC? In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to install APK and OBB files in PC.

What are APK and OBB files?

Before we dive into the installation process, let’s first understand what these files are. An APK file is a package file format used by Android operating system for distribution and installation of mobile apps.

It’s similar to .exe files on Windows computers. OBB (Opaque Binary Blob) is a binary data format used by Android apps to package large files like graphics and media assets.

Step 1: Download an Android Emulator

To run APK and OBB files on your PC, you need an Android emulator. There are several emulators available, but we recommend using Bluestacks or NoxPlayer for this tutorial.

  • Visit the official website of Bluestacks or NoxPlayer.
  • Download the emulator setup file.
  • Run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the emulator.

Step 2: Download the APK file

Once you’ve installed an Android emulator on your PC, it’s time to download the APK file that you want to install.

  • Open a web browser on your PC.
  • Search for the APK file that you want to download.
  • Select a reliable source for downloading the APK file.
  • Download the APK file onto your PC.

Step 3: Install the APK File

Now that you’ve downloaded the APK file, it’s time to install it on your PC.

  • Open the Android emulator on your PC.
  • Click on the ‘Install APK’ button located on the emulator’s home screen.
  • Select the APK file that you downloaded in Step 2.
  • The emulator will begin installing the APK file. Wait for it to complete.

Step 4: Download and Install OBB file

If the app that you’ve installed requires an OBB file, follow these steps:

  • Open a web browser on your PC.
  • Search for the OBB file that you want to download.
  • Select a reliable source for downloading the OBB file.
  • Download the OBB file onto your PC.

Now that you have downloaded the OBB file, it’s time to install it.

  • Open File Manager on your Android emulator.
  • Navigate to Internal Storage > Android > obb folder.
  • Create a new folder with the package name of the app that you installed in Step 3.
    • Note: The package name can be found in Google Play Store URL or APKPure website URL of that app. It usually starts with “com.”

  • Move or copy and paste downloaded OBB files inside this newly created folder. If there is only one OBB then keep its name as is but if there are multiple files then rename them from “” to “main.obb.part1”, “main.2.part2” and so on.
